23. Milos Ninkovic (Sydney FC)
Another Sydney FC midfielder rolls in at number 23 with new man, Milos Ninkovic dropping straight into our top 30. The Serbian midfielder replaced Marc Janko as the international marquee and even with his immense talent, it will be a huge void to fill.
Arriving from Serbian giants, Red Star Belgrade, Ninkovic has been most effective from the attacking midfielder role and this could mean a re-shuffle for Sydney. Club captain, Alex Brosque occupied that role for large parts of last season and the Serbian’s arrival could see him shifted wider to accommodate the talented ball-player.
In a couple of short months at the club, Ninkovic has already impressed. A stunning goal in a pre-season training match has done the rounds on social media and has only perpetuated the buzz surrounding Sydney’s newest marquee. Let’s hope for much of the same when the regular season gets underway this week.
