26. Harry Novillo (Melbourne City)
After David Villa’s highly anticipated loan deal was cut ridiculously short, Melbourne City fans were left with a bitter taste in their mouths. Enter, Harry Novillo. A live-wire in the top third, Novillo’s March arrival brought back a much-needed buzz to the club.
At 23 years of age, the Lyon youth product has failed to forge a significant career at a senior level after off-the-pitch issues halted him in Belgium and France. However, his talent is undoubted.
Fast and skilful with an eye for goal, Novillo’s A-League career sprung to life when he scored a finals’ winner against the Wellington Phoenix. With City expected to impress this season, the winger could become their key attacking outlet based on last season’s performances.
