Palace impressive despite defeat
The match between the top two in the Premier League really underlined Crystal Palace’s credentials. Playing a rampant Manchester City side, it was the Eagles who dominated the opening exchanges. Backed by their vociferous home fans, Alan Pardew’s side starting at high tempo and forced Joe Hart into a number of saves, winning numerous corners early on. However, a lack of efficiency in front of goal was a punished right at the death when Iheanacho scored the game’s only goal. Pardew can take many positives from his team’s display though and with a home crowd like this it will be hard beating them at Selhurst Park.
