Young stars Wendell and Tah key for Leverkusen

The Brazilian left-back was one of the standout performers against Augsburg. He appeared to be everywhere on the pitch, consistently hitting passing targets and defending with confidence. Wendell created a couple of chances, attempted a shot and was part of the equalising goal as he drove a sweet ball to Hernandez.

After witnessing his impressive display against Augsburg, it is not hard to believe that he has had more touches than any other Leverkusen player this season.

Tah was another young Leverkusen star who made a positive impact. Although the youngster was the player to pass it to Leno, leading to sheer horror, Tah cannot be blamed as it was a slow, anti-pressure, routine pass.

The incident was simply one of those extraordinary moments in football. Tah quickly forgot and moved on, putting his mark on the game to produce a huge impact in defence. Tah imposed himself well physically when he needed to and made important interceptions throughout the match.
