Fabulous Florenzi
Early last year, Florenzi scored a memorable goal. An overhead kick against Genoa went viral when he ran into the stands at the Olimpico to celebrate with his grandmother.
Once again, Florenzi broke the internet.
This time it was for his brilliant goal. A 50-yard lob which left Marc-André ter Stegen helpless could well be the best goal in the whole of Champions League this season, even after just one matchday.
The vision to the see the German off his line and to execute the shot from such a long distance was nothing short of world class. Despite playing in an unfamiliar right-back role under Rudi Garcia, Florenzi has been superb.
Along with Radja Nainggolan, the Roma youth product has been the Giallorossi’s best player over the last 18 months. His amazing goal against the best side in the world could well be the moment Florenzi finally gets the credit he deserves.
