Inter Milan seeing deja vu

The Nerazzuri faced off against a stubborn Genoa side at the San Siro and the final result would have Roberto Mancini seeing deja vu. It is the eight time in 15 matches that Inter have won 1-0, a record that would both please fans, yet leave them a little concerned whether the team is doing enough to close out matches.

The home side began the much with a much more balanced side than the one that lined up against Napoli and it paid dividends as much of the possession in the first hour of the match was theirs. Adam Ljajic continued his great form with a well taken free kick to win the match.

Napoli’s unbeaten run comes to a crashing halt

I Partenopei headed to Bologna in search of three points that would put them back at the top of the Serie A table, however the home side was set to shock its hosts.

A blistering performance led by Luca Rizzo and Mattia Destro had the home side take a 2-0 advantage into half time, only to extend this to 3-0 15 minutes after the break in what was an extremely entertaining game.

Napoli tried everything they could to break down the Rossoblu but to no avail and although Gonzalo Higuain pushed all the way to the end with two late goals, it was not enough to save Napoli’s run of 18 unbeaten matches and falling to third position on the table.
