Marco Borriello fires Carpi off the bottom

A 30 minute second half spell from Marco Borriello has earned Carpi an unlikely victory against a Genoa side very much on the up. The man of the match performance overshadowed a return for Macedonian striker Goran Pandev after a long spell on the sidelines with suspension and injury.

Carpi’s second win of the season pushes them off the bottom of the table after Verona’s loss to Frosinone.

Disappointing week ends for Roma

A disastrous Roma performance against a rampaging Barcelona during the midweek Champions League fixture in Catalonia has continued into the Giallorossi‘s home match against Atalanta. Edy Reja’s unpredictable Atalanta took a 1-0 lead into half time before a string of red cards in the last 10 minutes of the match gave the away side both the win and a nervous finish.

Roma ultras have voiced their opinions on Rudi Garcia in recent weeks; the fans unhappy with results and feel a new manager will take the side to glory yet unreached.
