New manager, same result

Vincenzo Montella is a name many Fiorentina fans would recognise and for good reason, spending a very successful tenure at the club. Montella was appointed the new manager of Sampdoria over the international break with the Blucerchiati relieving Walter Zenga of his duties due to recent form.

Despite this, Montella’s first match in charge could not have gone more wrong. Udinese have only managed three wins for the season and were the better team on the day, Sampdoria not even able to manage a shot on target for the match.

Roberto Mancini notches up a quarter of a century

Despite a 10-minute patch at the start of the second half, Frosinone found themselves overwhelmed with the talent and strategy Mancini’s man displayed at the San Siro. The 4-0 romp showed just how much of a difference there is between the two sides.

The win for Inter Milan also brought up Mancini’s 25th win as manager of the club in all competitions, after joining the club mid-November of 2014. Apart from their current position at the top of the table, it must be said Mancini’s greatest achievement to date has been the rebuild of the Milan giants.
