Frosinone secure their first ever Serie A win

The home fans were sent into raptures at the Stadio Matusa after the match against Empoli, with the Canarini earning their first ever win in the top flight after being formed all the way back in 1912.

Federico Dionisi was the hero with two early second half goals, his efforts enough to get the job done against a struggling Empoli. Frosinone’s historic result came on the back of nabbing a point against current champions at Juventus Stadium, a team they now sit only one point behind.

A veteran gets the Stadio Atleti rocking

Germán Denis has become a cult figure in Bergamo after spending the last four seasons at Atalanta and scoring plenty along the way. It was the Argentinian who made sure of the result in added time against an in-form Sampdoria side, in what was a rather sloppy match.

Although the Roberto Soriano scored to make the home side nervous further into added time, it was Denis who ultimately finished off some wonderful play by Maximiliano Morales, securing the points.
