Youthful midfield could hurt Sampdoria

Sampdoria’s impressive start to the season came to a halt with their away trip to Torino. The home side could not be faulted in any position, with wingers Christian Molinaro and Bruno Peres running riot in the performance.

With only one player in a four-man midfield over the age of 24, Sampdoria’s young midfield and struggled to cope after a promising start to the season. Torino have been their toughest opponent so far this season, and the lack of experience showed from Sampdoria in the 2-0 defeat.

Possession doesn’t always dictate a result

Carpi’s performance against Fiorentina at the Alberto Braglia was a little difficult to comprehend. The home side conceded a large amount of possession to the Viola but somehow managed to have the better opportunities, Marco Borriello finding himself one on one with Tatarusanu on two occasions in the first half.

The Biancorossi will find it difficult to win matches this season. However, if they can convert their chances in future matches they will find themselves in a position to stay up.
