Albion in the face of Everton
Despite defeat, Baggies boss Tony Pulis should be commended for his tactical setup. From back to front, West Brom pressed and looked to take time away from Everton, stifling their passing game.
The more noticeable reward came in the first half in the instance of Berahino’s opener. Everton new boy Ramiro Funes Mori attempted to bring the ball out of defence down the left-hand side but was quickly closed down.
Gareth Barry met the same fate moments later as his clearing pass was intercepted. Morrison assumed possession and slipped in Berahino.
