Bottom of the table makes for interesting viewing
Two weeks ago Gladbach were in crisis talks. Half a week ago they had no manager, but now they sit 14th with two wins from their last two matches and a rejuvenated spirit to go with them. Stuttgart, meanwhile, sit second bottom with three points and embroiled in a toxic run of poor form. Their win over Hamburg two games ago broke a run of five straight defeats, but they now risk lurching back into that following this loss.
The bottom of the table now paints an interesting picture of dismay for fans and although only one win behind Gladbach, the feeling around the club is entirely different. Before they begin to get embroiled in a relegation battle again, it is high time that Stuttgart themselves look at the table for some motivation.
And Gladbach are far from out of the woods too.
