One of the best signings of 2014-15, Roly Bonevacia will be of the utmost importance to the Wellington Phoenix this season. The Dutch midfielder delighted Phoenix fans and neutrals alike playing in all 28 of Wellington’s games, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
Signing a two-year contract extension at the end of last season and at only 23, Bonevacia has proven to be an experienced and classy member of the Phoenix’s midfield setup. Under the guidance of Ernie Merrick, Bonevacia has the potential to become one of the best internationals the league has seen and a stellar second season in 2015-16 looks incredibly likely.
