An impressive campaign in 2014-15 sees Michael McGlinchey sit in 19th spot on our list. Despite a controversial move from the Mariners to the Phoenix at the beginning of last season, McGlinchey was outstanding for the Phoenix as the creative heart of the team.
The 28-year-old was a huge part of the Phoenix’s most successful campaign and his combination with Roy Krishna, Nathan Burns and Roly Bonevacia created one of the most exciting attacking lineups in the league.
Wellington will need a big season from McGlinchey in order to not only make finals but progress past the first week.
