Fiorentina’s three at the back Although in most leagues a three at the back system does not work, the Serie A is one of those where a team can get away with it. As they have all campaign, once again Fiorentina looked very strong in defence and Napoli struggled in the first-half to get any meaningful sights on goal. It required hard work for the team, but almost every time without doubt they had most of the players behind the ball, helping the back three that was in place. However, it was not strong enough in the end to hold out in-form Azzurri as they took the most of their opportunities after the restart. The two goals conceded showed brief defensive lapses that cost Paulo Sousa’s men a result and some of the momentum thy had been carrying the last few weeks.

Who Can Stop Napoli?
Another win for Napoli over the league-leaders has sent them up to fourth place and now just one win shy of Fiorentina, although Inter is still yet to play this week. Ever since a couple of average draws against Empoli and Carpi, Sarri’s squad has been almost unstoppable – beating the likes of Juventus, Lazio, AC Milan and now Fiorentina as well.
With their two hitmen Lorenzo Insigne and Gonzalo Higuain netting again, Napoli are on a charge up towards the top of the ladder. Any team that comes up against the Partenopei is going to be in for a tough test this season.
