10 man Udinese add to Torino’s woes

A midweek derby loss in the Coppa Italia to Juventus would have left Torino raring to end the season on a high against the other Bianconeri, although in reality the result did not quite go to plan.

A goal just before the break to the visitors shocked the home side, however, even more strange was Udinese’s performance after losing Molla Wague to a red card midway through the second-half. Torino were bombarded with attacking efforts and could not find a way to score the equaliser.

A poor way to head into the christmas break.

Kung-Fu Melo

Antonio Candreva sent a rocket past Samir Handanovic and put the pressure square on Inter Milan to retain their four point gap at the top of the table.

Enter Felipe Melo. The Brazilian has been suprisingly disciplined up until this point of the season, however, it all unraveled in the match against Lazio and ultimately cost them a point. Melo made an absurd climbing tackle on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to award the Biancocelesti the winning penalty, then just three minutes later the 32-year-old made his best attempt to kick the head of Lucas Biglia and was accordingly sent off.

Inter Milan now find themselves only a point ahead of Napoli going into the winter break.
