Lorenzo Insigne’s form takes a dive

While Napoli find themselves second on the table and only one point behind leaders Inter Milan, it seems that not all of the players have shown the same consistency.

Lorenzo Insigne started off the season with a bang and continued this for the first few months, scoring goals and assisting Gonzalo Higuain plenty in the process. Although starting each match, Insigne has been substituted in four of his past five outings as Maurizio Sarri has looked for a different edge to each match.

It is a worrying sign for both Napoli and Azzuri fans, as a spot at the upcoming European Cup could be in doubt.

Artemio Franchi a fortress for Fiorentina

Some fairly average form for La Viola in recent weeks has cost them top spot on the table, however, playing against them at home is still a scary prospect.

Fiorentina have won 10 of their last 12 matches at home, one of those a draw, which suggests it is still very much a fortress and opposition sides should not take the task lightly.

The home side made light work of Chievo, the match over within the first half-hour and the visitors not registering a shot on target.

Luca Toni rescues another draw for Verona

Luca Toni made it two goals in as many matches in his last season as a professional footballer, as he guided Verona to an unbelievable eighth draw for 2015-16.

The Gialloblu finish the first-half of the campaign without a victory, at the bottom of the table and needing three wins to escape relegation. However, the ability to get a result against an in form Sassuolo must be applauded and viewed as a step in the right direction.
