New faces square-off
Week 10 saw the two Serie A debutants clash at the Stadio Matusa for the first time and despite the level of quality within the two squads, the game was quite entertaining.
Frosinone went into the match as favourites winning three from the last five, where Carpi have only managed one victory for the campaign. The match was the second on the matchday to be decided via a last minute goal.
Unwanted raining goals in Verona
The Gialloblu are currently experiencing a period in the club’s history they would much rather forget. Winless in the first 10 matches of the season is only where the records begin, they have conceded the second most number of goals in the league, 11 in the last six games and were unable to register a single shot on target against Fiorentina.
La Viola bestowed their dominance on the home side and were unlucky not to score more in their 2-0 win.
Goalkeepers the headline in Milan
It is a rare occurrence when goalkeepers draw most of the attention during a football match, however, this was very much the case in Milan.
16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma was a shock inclusion to the starting lineup in the Rossoneri’s last match against Sassuolo, after Sinisa Mihajlovic dropped Diego Lopez to the bench and the youngster impressed his manager enough for a second consecutive starting position against Chievo.
Meanwhile, the much more experienced Albano Bizzarri kept the Gialloblu in the match on three separate occasions.
