Melbourne City appear to be on the verge of completing the signing of Nicolas Colazo from Boca Juniors.

A Tweet sent out by the Argentine’s wife earlier this week confirmed that the couple will indeed be moving to Australia, with the winger set to occupy the club’s final marquee spot.

Colazo has spent his entire professional career with the Buenos Aries giants, registering over 100 appearances since being promoted to the senior team in 2008.

His wife also used social media to give a farewell to La Bombonera from outside their stadium.

“I come to say goodbye. See you soon, love of my life. I will be with you every Sunday from a distance,” Rivas wrote on Istagram.

The 26-year-old’s services are reportedly worth $450,000 per year, joining Tim Cahill and Bruno Fornaroli as marquee players for the A-League glamour side.
