One of world football’s greatest mysteries is over.
Pep Guardiola will become the manager of Manchester City next season on a three-year deal.
Speculation has been rife for years about where he would end up. Manchester United, Chelsea and even Arsenal fans to a certain extent are bitterly disappointed not have won the race for Guardiola’s prized signature.
City fans are delirious, and with good reason.
The 45-year-old enjoyed a wonderful tenure with Barcelona, becoming the club’s most successful manager after 14 trophies which includes three La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.

Despite winning the Bundesliga twice and eight points clear in the current campaign with Bayern Munich, two semi-final exits in the Champions League have blighted his reputation slightly in Germany.
However, he is widely regarded as the hottest managerial property in world football.
In 239 league games, he’s only managed to lose on 19 occasions – an outstanding record and a mark of his supremacy.
The biggest breaking news story of 2016 thus far has ruffled a few feathers at rival clubs and delighted others in the Sky Blues camp.
