Arsenal and Barcelona are two clubs who share a not to dissimilar footballing DNA.

Their aesthetically pleasing style has wowed fans across the globe, gaining worldwide acclaim and setting the precedent for any aspiring teams seeking to play the ‘Tika-Taka’ way.

The two have become well acquainted in recent times with the Catalans holding the upper hand, winning four of the seven duels, the first dating back to 1999 at the old Wembley Stadium.

The most memorable occurred back in the 2006 Champions League final when Barca broke Gunners hearts with a come from behind 2-1 victory in Paris thanks to late goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Beletti.

While that night ignited the rivalry between the clubs on the pitch, off the pitch, the two have been embroiled in their fair share of transfer sagas over the years with eight players swapping North London for the Nou Camp in the space of 16 years.
