It is a similar story with the majority of Liverpool’s attacking players, and Lallana is no different. What position best suits him? Rodgers definitely preferred the former Saint as a winger more than an attacking-midfielder, however, Klopp will probably utilise the Englishman through the middle.
For the system to work properly, the three central-attackers need have excellent technical ability and Lallana possess some of the best footwork within the squad, especially in tight areas. What makes his resume more lucrative is his proven link-up with Coutinho, the pair able to produce some wonderful football, full of little flicks here and a dummy or two there.

Whether or not Klopp uses this style of play at Liverpool is will not be answered in the next couple of weeks, as it will take a solid month or two for the German to craft his players into whatever format he elects to go with. However, one certainty is the fact the Reds’ should begin to play more attacking football from the get go. The former Borussia manager has described his style of play as ‘heavy metal’ football, but even The Beatles can step aside for a successful Liverpool once more.
