Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo could soon be on his way back the English top-flight, according to Goal.com. Claims are the former Manchester City man is set to link up with newly-promoted Middlesbrough, on a season-long from current club Valencia.

Three Premier League clubs are preparing to go head-to-head to secure the services of Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho suggests the Sun. Everton, Leicester and Southampton are all vying to bring the highly-rated central-midfielder to their respective grounds this summer.

Christian Benteke’s rumoured move to fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace may be completed sooner rather than later this transfer window. The Mirror is reporting that the former Aston Villa striker has agreed personal terms with the Eagles, with Liverpool holding out for a reported £32 million fee.

In further news from the Mirror, just a couple of days after being linked with a move to Tottenham, Georginio Wijnaldum is keen on the deal to materialise. The midfielder is willing to beg current club Newcastle to allow him to leave, in order to play Champions League football with Spurs next season.

After rumours a number of players are to leave London, Chelsea fans will be pleased to hear that they are linked with bringing Lazio’s Felipe Anderson to Stamford Bridge. Gazzetta World is reporting that the Blues are closing in on the signing of the attacking-midfielder, after the Italian club relaxed their stance on keeping him locked down.

In a major coup for Southampton, they are set to confirm the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in a £12.8 million deal according to Sky Sports sources. The 20-year-old midfielder has been loaned out to fellow German clubs Augsburg and Schalke in the past 18-months and has impressed during these periods.

With Manchester United continually linked with a £100 million deal for Paul Pogba, players are going to need to make way in order to fund such a move. The Sun is rumouring new manager Jose Mourinho will allow up to eight players to leave Old Trafford in order to pursue Pogba, with the likes of Juan Mata and Bastian Schweinsteiger among the names reportedly headed for the exit.

In a major boost in their pursuit of Pogba, however, United seem to have a clear path to his signing if the latest news from Sky Sports is to be believed. The English media giant is reporting that Real Madrid have withdrawn their interest to sign the Juventus star, citing financial reasons as their decision to pull out of the race.

In what may not be the most glamorous of deals this summer, Liverpool are set to lose winger Sergi Canos to Norwich City for a fee of around £4.5 million. The Liverpool Echo is reporting the winger has been discussing personal terms with the Canaries, having rejected a contract extension from the Reds at the end of the past season.

In news that is sure to displease Arsenal fans, the Gunners are yet to make a bid for striker Alexandre Lacazette. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has told French publication L’Equipe (reported by Sky Sports) “I think he will stay with us and we are very happy” and he also claimed when he saw Arsene Wenger during the Euros that there was no talk of a deal for their star forward.
