- Isaias (Adelaide United)
Coming in at number ten is diminutive midfielder Isaias, who has become an integral part of Adelaide United’s possession based style of play. Particularly, the Spaniard’s role in dropping deep into central defence to facilitate playing out from the back was a hallmark of Josep Gombau’s short but entertaining tenure at the helm of Adelaide United. Perhaps testament to his importance for the Reds, Isaias featured in 26 of Adelaide’s 28 matches last season. He was the 3rd best tackler in the A-League, notching up an impressive 67 tackles.
