De Gea saves United again
David de Gea again proved his importance to this United side with a series of stunning saves that were crucial in securing all three points for the visitors. His incredible reflex save to deny Jose Fonte’s goal-bound header was one of the saves of the season. With United holding a slender 2-1 lead, the save was absolutely crucial in the final result. The Spanish keeper was again at his best to deny Victor Wanyama’s powerful shot in the dying stages.
United are clearly a better side with their reigning player of the year in goal. Following his somewhat surprising decision to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, United will need their superstar goalkeeper at his excellent best if they are to keep winning on the road and mount a serious challenge for Premier League honours.
