Manchester United defied their recent poor form away from home and moved up to second with a 3-2 win over Southampton.
Graziano Pelle opened the scoring for the Saints before Anthony Martial turned the game on its head with two goals for United. Juan Mata put United 3-1 up before Pelle cut the deficit and added his second. United managed to hold on in the face of an intense last-minute Southampton onslaught in a tense and testing finale.
