Danny Vukovic – Goalkeeper – Melbourne Victory

The former Perth Glory man was in fine form as his side shared the points with the Wanderers in a 1-1 draw on Saturday night. Vukovic made a number of impressive saves to ensure the Victory would maintain their lead, although there was nothing he could do to stop Brendon Santalab from finding the back of the net late on.

Jason Geria – Right-back – Melbourne Victory

The young full-back grabbed himself three votes in the Outside90 Player of the Year competition with a solid performance against the Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday night. Geria continued his strong combination with New Zealand international Kosta Barbarouses down the right-hand side of the Victory lineup. The Olyroo’s runs forward continue to be a highlight of his game, as well as his ability to read the play.

How Twitter reacted to Perth Glory’s 1-0 win over Wellington Phoenix

Daniel Mullen – Central-defence – Newcastle Jets

Mullen probably had the toughest task of the A-League’s weekend in trying to keep Golden Boot leader Bruno Fornaroli quiet for 90 minutes, and the Jets defender should be applauded for his efforts. Despite the striker getting on the scoresheet, Mullen can stand tall following his display. The 26-year-old forced Fornaroli into a number of rushed attempts and was in the right place at the right time on a number of occasions.

Jade North – Central-defence – Brisbane Roar

A man who has quietly gone about his work this season, the former Socceroo produced a solid performance as his side kept a clean sheet in the 4-0 romp of the Central Coast Mariners. North was solid at the back, winning a number of aerial duels and not backing out of challenges to go along with his reputation as a tough defender.

Michael Zullo – Left-back – Melbourne City

The Socceroo continued his fine run of form since returning to the Melbourne City starting lineup in the match against the Jets, as the A-League contenders went down 2-1. Zullo displayed a tremendous work rate throughout the match, making a nuisance of himself when getting forward. His defensive qualities were on show throughout the match as he won a number of impressive challenges.

Filip Holosko – Right-wing – Sydney FC

Holosko was at his brilliant best as his side came from behind twice to salvage a 2-2 draw against Adelaide United on Friday night. The Slovakian was a major threat down the right-hand side for the entire night, causing Tarek Elrich a number of problems. A man who has come under much criticism this season, Holosko continued a good recent run of form by grabbing himself a goal and an assist.

Sergio Cirio – Central-midfield – Adelaide United

The Adelaide United midfielder produced an excellent performance as his side twice relinquished the lead in their 2-2 draw with the Sky Blues on Friday night. The 30-year-old scored a double and was arguably the  best performer on the night. The Spaniard found himself in a number of dangerous positions and was involved in many of his side’s attacks.

Corona – Central-midfield – Brisbane Roar

A man who came onto the scene with a bang became quiet in recent weeks, but got back to his best as his side ran away to a 4-0 victory against the Central Coast. Corona controlled the tempo of the game as he has come to be known for, and when the Spaniard is in control his side also seem to be at their best. His set-piece delivery was again a highlight during the win.

Bruce Kamau – Left-wing – Adelaide United

Given the chance to return to the starting lineup as Adelaide looked forward to Asian Champions League qualifier on Tuesday night. The youngster did not let coach Guillermo Amor down as he produced a top notch performance against a well-disciplined Sydney side. Kamau was a constant threat on the wings for the Reds setting up his side’s second goal with a marvelous solo run.

Milos Trifunovic – Striker – Newcastle Jets

The Newcastle forward has found himself out of form this season, but the Serbian stood tall in his side’s 2-1 upset victory over a red hot Melbourne City side. Trifunovic held the ball up well for his side throughout the match, being the main source of attack for his side. His effective runs put the 31-year-old into dangerous positions on a number of occasions.

Jamie Maclaren – Striker – Brisbane Roar

The Olyroo found himself on the scoresheet yet again as he continued his hot form since returning from the AFC Under 23 Championships. Maclaren’s movements off the ball continue to see him find himself in dangerous positions and giving opposition defences nightmares. The 22-year-old continue to link up well with his fellow forwards as the Roar won 4-0. With form like this it will be very hard for Ange Postecoglou to ignore him for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
