The AVPL produced another terrific week and here we take a close look at the best individual displays on PS4 this week.
GK – NZPure (HereForBeer FC)
Continues to be regarded as one of the best keepers in the AVPL and Pure had a very good week for HereForBeer FC, keeping three clean sheets in four as his side pushes for the title.
CB – Will (Roll Tide CF)
It was a great week for the Roll Tide CF defender, who was a tackling machine from the outset. In the three games Will played, he managed to make a staggering 12 tackles, while also keeping a clean sheet.
CB – Hainesy (HereForBeer FC)
Another top week for Hainesy sees the HereForBeer FC defender cement his position in the Team of the Week. A natural central defender, Hainesy has come in leaps and bounds in season five. Week four was no different, with the defender keeping three clean sheets and making eight tackles in four matches.
CB – Dawson (La Masia CF)
The only La Masia CF defender to retain his place from last week’s team, Dawson played another positive role in week four for the title favourites. In two matches, Dawson was involved in two clean sheets, while he also made two tackles.
LM – dukeyau (hairyKENTS)
After starring in the middle of the park last week, Dukey earns himself a spot on the left in week four after again proving vital for hairyKENTS. The midfielder couldn’t get himself on the score sheet or assist a team mate, but he made a staggering 21 tackles to prove his credentials as a tackling machine.
CM – Picklesaw (RUTHLESS CF)
It was a big week for the ex-La Masia playmaker with the midfielder being at the heart of a fantastic week for RUTHLESS CF. Pickle scored once and set up three, highlighting why he is regarded so highly. He also made a staggering 13 tackles, illustrating impressive defensive pressure.
CM – JacobSwans (Melbourne born)
It was a very impressive defensive week for Jacob, who was at his very best in the central midfield position. Jacob made a huge 23 tackles as he continues his climb up the tackles made leaderboard.
RM – STR1KECARNAGE (La Fabrica CF)
STRIKE was at his best during week four of the AVPL season, playing a very good attacking midfield game as his side performed admirably. STRIKE scored twice and made 11 tackles to help his side find some form.
LF – JCrowe98 (Roll Tide CF)
A very good debut season continues for Crowe as his week four performances found him a place in the team of the week. The striker scored three times and assisted once as Roll Tide CF lifted in week four.
RF – ADAX09 (La Fabrica CF)
After a great week three in the AVPL, week four proved just as good for ADAX as the La Fabrica CF striker continued his solid run of form. The star scored three times and assisted twice as he sat at the forefront of everything good for his side.
ST – Spencerdullard7 (HereForBeer FC)
It was a memorable week for Spencer in the AVPL as the HereForBeer striker netted three important goals for his side. Not only that, but he assisted twice, putting the ball on a platter for his teammates. It was a timely contribution for the XAVPL heavyweights.
Performance of the week – Michu1 (La Masia CF), Round 9
Regarded as the Joe Hart of the AVPL, Michu had a stellar round 9 for La Masia CF, stopping everything. With his side on the back foot against hairyKENTS, Michu produced a number of great saves on his way to two clean sheets and six saves.
