A 10-man Brisbane Roar have lost to Melbourne City for a sixth successive time in Victoria, after going down 3-1 away from home on Friday night.

Here are the players who were below par on the night:

Jack Hingert – Brisbane Roar

The right-back put his team under a lot of pressure despite having the lead when he was shown a second yellow card after he bought down Bruno Fornaroli in the box, where Aaron Mooy put away the resulting penalty. After such a strong performance last weekend the defender will be disappointed to miss games especially as the finals series draws closer. Hingert often found his side being targeted on City’s tirades forward with a number of dangerous balls coming in from the left hand side.

Thomas Sorensen – Melbourne City

Despite being on the winning side the Danish shot-stopper produced a few nervy moments for the home side in particular during the first-half. The veteran was almost caught out from a long range Corona free kick which should have comfortably of been dealt with, instead the visitors would open the scoring from the corner through Dimitri Petratos. Earlier in the match Sorensen loosely let go of the ball after easily collecting it but was alert to the danger of Jamie Maclaren who could have snatched a rare chance.

Jamie Maclaren – Brisbane Roar

A frustrating night for a man who last weekend found the back of the net three times. The young striker was not given many opportunities by a very well-disciplined City defence led by captain Patrick Kisnorbo and Socceroo Alex Wilkinson. A man who is very unlucky to have missed out on Socceroos selection for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers was not given many chances of playing his natural game to get in behind the defence.
