Angel Di Maria could be the missing ingredient
The former Manchester United midfielder shone in his Champions League debut for PSG, scoring his first goal for the club with an exquisite strike coming in from the right-hand side and placing it into the right corner of Malmö goalkeeper Johan Wiland’s net. Good at the weekend despite appearing slightly selfish at times, Di Maria was better here. Picking up the Argentine this summer looks a good piece of business by PSG. He has settled quickly and has produced performances similar to those that saw him command such a high fee from Real Madrid two summers ago.
Di Maria looks comfortable in this side and the players around him look happy to let him express himself, something that, during his time in Manchester, never quite seemed right. If performances continue then PSG have a real chance of making it into the latter rounds.
