Tactics Tim questionable once more?
Sherwood is still learning as a manager but once again he will have to question a couple of his decisions during the game as Villa failed to stem the tide and collapsed in little over a quarter of an hour. Villa looked relatively comfortable at 2-0 and needed to protect the lead which made the decision to take off a midfielder (Gil) for another striker (Jordan Ayew) a surprising choice to say the least.
The likes of Ciaran Clark and Jordan Veretout surely provided Sherwood with a better option for slowing the tempo down and seeing out the game and the rookie boss will have to learn quickly after being tactically outthought in Villa’s previous away game at Palace too.
