Juventus have a certain Champions League swagger

The statistics tell the story for Juventus against Sevilla. Twenty shots to one, leaders in possession and a pass succession rating of 90%. Last season’s runners-up dominated the match, looking extremely comfortable on the ball and assured in defence.

Sevilla were only able to register one shot for the entire game, not looking like getting back into the match once they went a goal down. Allegri’s men are struggling in Serie A with only one win from six, however, their Champions League form suggests Juve have plenty to offer in Italy and that their best can still win them a title.

Coming from a goal down away to Manchester City, a side that, at the time, had not conceded in over 300 minutes of football, to win 2-1 and today’s 2-0 victory against Sevilla shows Juventus have massive character and confidence in their own ability, carrying on from the momentum of last season’s Champions League run where they fell to Barcelona 3-1 in the final.
