Torino are cursed at Juventus stadium

Juan Cuadrado chose an opportune moment to score his first goal in a Juventus shirt, specifically the last minute of additional time to give the Bianconeri a 2-1 win on their home turf. There was a certain sense of deja vu for the Granta, being the second time in as many matches a goal at the deal has awarded Juventus a win and the bragging rights for the city, Andrea Pirlo providing the magic on the last occasion.

With both teams needing the points, it was an important win for the champions, who will look to use the performance to finally kick-start their Serie A campaign.

Roberto Mancini outsmarts Rudi Garcia

Mancini’s men have played a large amount of possession based football this season and this paired with the personnel changes to the squad, has made the transition an effective one.

The Inter Milan manager decided to take a risk for their clash against Roma to combat the away sides recent form and although it took a mammoth effort from Sami Handanovic to complete the performance, the plan paid off. A rare goal from Gary Medel sealed the 1-0 win.

Fortress Stadio Artemio Franchi

An overwhelming first half performance made the latter stages but a formality for la Viola, who went into the break 4-0 to the good against an inexperienced Frosinone.

The result sees Fiorentina record thirteen wins from their last sixteen Serie A fixtures, seven of these being at home, making the Artemio Franchi somewhat a fortress for the club.

Previous Scudetto winners have taken almost all available points on offer from home games and if Fiorentina are to continue in the same matter, it could see them contest deep into the final weeks.
