Juventus 4-3-3

Gianluigi Buffon – 7: Some important saves from the Juventus captain, notably blocking Kamil Glik’s late header which would have sent Torino 2-1 up in the final stages of the match.

Simone Padoin – 5.5: Struggled at times to deal with Torino’s wing play, not enough going forward either from the makeshift right-back.

Andrea Barzagli – 6.5: Possibly Serie A’s toughest defender to beat in a one-on-one situation. Calm and composed on the ball.

Leonardo Bonucci – 6: Not one of Bonucci’s better games with Maxi Lopez and Fabio Quagliarella working themselves into some dangerous positions and creating opportunities for themselves. Sat a little further up the pitch when Juventus were in possession, with Hernanes not dropping back as deep.

Patrice Evra – 6.5: Good game from the veteran Frenchman. Has been solid all season long for Juventus and it is no wonder Alex Sandro has not been able to force himself into the starting lineup just yet.

Claudio Marchisio – 5: Did not have the impact Juventus would have hoped for in his return from missing midweek action with the flu. If they are to climb up the table, they will need Il Principino to bring out his best.

Paul Pogba – 8: Pogba’s best performance of the season. Scored a brilliant goal and had several opportunities well saved.

Sami Khedira – N/A: Substituted very early in the game with injury. Not good news.

Hernanes – 5.5: Started on the right, however, once Khedira went down injured was moved into the midfield three. Another who did not have much impact on the game, looks to be struggling to find himself at Juventus.

Paulo Dybala – 7: The young Argentine continues to battle away, giving his all in each performance. Had a few shots on the goal which were either blocked or narrowly missed. Caused some problems for the Torino defence.

Alvaro Morata – 5.5: Not a good performance from Morata. Was not happy with his substitution late on for Mario Mandzukic.

Substitutes

Juan Cuadrado – 7: Brought down many times by the Torino defence. Very tricky with his feet, however, still needs to work on his end product going forward. Won the game for Juventus with his debut goal after sliding in to meet Alex Sandro’s low cross and roll the ball into the net.

Alex Sandro – 7: Had the exact impact Allegri would have hoped for. His dangerous cross evading Torino’s defence and meeting Cuadrado for the winner.

Mario Mandzukic – 5.5: No impact at all upon coming into the game.
