Arsenal recorded fifth Premier League win in a row, beating Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium 3-0 with Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Joel Campbell scoring in the second-half.
Swansea played a good early game, not leaving any space for the visiting team. The crucial moment of the match happened midway through first-half, when Bafetimbi Gomis broke through alone against Petr Cech, but the French striker’s hesitancy did not bring the lead to Gary Monk’s side, as Hector Bellerin chased back 50 metres to clear the ball at the last second.
In the second-half, Arsenal had more energy and their flair started giving results. Giroud scored the opening goal after Mesut Ozil’s corner kick in the 49th minute, using Per Mertesacker as a decoy to give himself a free header. Swansea’s courage was annulled from that first goal and the Gunners showed their killer instinct with Koscielny’s and Campbell’s goals in the space of five minutes to secure the points.
