Keylor Navas – 8: Made several key saves and is becoming increasingly comfortable in goals. His number one position is all but cemented.
Raphael Varane – 6: Was charged with defending Nolito and performed quite well except on a few occasions where he was beaten by the forward.
Danilo – 5: Was beaten by Nolito defensively but did double the visitors’ lead.
Sergio Ramos – 6: Was calm in defence and helped stop the onslaught from Celta Vigo in the dying minutes.
Marcelo – 6.5: Scored in the final minute and had some great linked plays with Jese and Vasquez.
Luka Modric – 6: Still finding his form but was dominant in terms of possession.
Casemiro – 5: Good in the centre of the park and added that extra man in defence.
Toni Kroos – 4.5: Played in a more forward role but the lack of space restricted the German.
Cristiano Ronaldo – 5.5: Scored the opening goal but could not build momentum from that.
Lucas Vasquez – 6.5: Was Ronaldo’s biggest support and even set up his goal.
Jese – 5.5: Showed a hunger to succeed and assisted the second goal.
Substitutes
Isco – 5: Strong in the final third as usual.
Denis Cheryshev – N/A: Set up the last goal with the cross to Marcelo.
Nacho – N/A: Made a late cameo.
