Socceroo James Troisi is on the verge of returning to former club Melbourne Victory, according to reports.
The Australian’s Ray Gatt has reported the move on Twitter, with Troisi and the club set to confirm the deal, reported to be for three years, as early as today.
Should the move eventuate, 28-year-old Troisi returns to the A-League after stints in Belgium, Saudi Arabia and most recently China, where the player has been involved in a bitter contractual dispute with club Liaoning Whowin. The 24-year-old made just three appearances for Liaoning after joining them in January.

Returning to the club he spent a season at on loan, quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite, Troisi is expected to fill the void left by the departed Gui Finkler, who has since signed for A-League rivals Wellington Phoenix.
