Manchester City produced a superb first half display away at Dynamo Kiev to earn a priceless 2-1 victory in their round of 16 first leg tie.
David Silva’s corner in the 15th minute was knocked down into the path of Sergio Aguero by an unmarked Yaya Toure, who controlled on his chest before lashing in a rasping shot.
City doubled their advantage five minutes before the interval Raheem Sterling’s square pass allowed David Silva to tap in at the back post.
Kiev found a lifeline through Witalij Bujalski, after Nicolás Otamendi’s clearing header found the Kiev striker on the edge of the area who smashed in a deflected shot past a despairing Joe Hart.
The visitors stood tall for the remainder of the half and then Yaya Toure capped off a fine evening with an outstanding curling effort in the dying stages of the match.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter:

Sensational performance by #mcfc tonight dominating the game, scoring three away goals & very unlucky not to get a pen or two

There goes Yaya Toure with his disappearing act for 85 mins and a screamer at the death. Becoming boring now. #MCFC

Toure is a liability most games but when he does that and wins you the tie you can’t complain #mcfc
