England finished runners-up to Wales in Group B after they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by a resolute Slovakia.
The first half was rather subdued as England dominated possession, only they could not translate their territorial advantage into clear-cut goalscoring opportunities.
Jordan Henderson struck a fierce goal-bound shot which was blocked brilliantly and that was as close as the Three Lions got to breaking the deadlock.
After the interval it was one-way traffic yet again, with England threatening the Slovakian goal as they held on grimly.
Martin Sktrel blocked a Dele Alli shot off the line, after Jordan Henderson’s wonderful back post cross and the Liverpool defender also got in the way of a Wayne Rooney piledriver.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
It was a terrific result for Slovakia who are highly likely to go through to the knockout stages as one of the best third-placed teams, while Roy Hodgson’s men remain an unconvincing Euro 2016 challenger.

I take it the English players will be voting on Thursday – none of them seem to be able to put a cross in the box properly. #ENGSLO
