An extra time double from Cesc Fabregas sealed a 4-2 comeback win for Chelsea against a 10-man Leicester in the EFL Cup this morning.
Claudio Ranieri’s men looked to be on their way to the next stage of the competition after Shinji Okazaki forced two goals over the line by the 34th minute. The visitors were far from done, however, with Gary Cahill cutting the deficit before half-time and Cesar Azpilicueta’s rocketing volley leveling the match at 2-2.
Finishing the 90 minutes on the front foot, Marcin Wasilewski’s red card for a challenge on Diego Costa would prove the decisive factor for the Blues, with Cesc Fabregas’ stellar double putting the result beyond doubt early in extra time.

Shabby performance even though we went through. Defence looked fragile all night, missed too many chances. Inefficient #CFC #EFLCup #LeiChe
