Some late inspiration off the bench saw Chelsea record a come from behind 2-1 win over Watford at Vicarage Road earlier tonight.
Another last minute goal from Diego Costa saw the Blues snatch all three points, after second-half substitute Michy Batsuayi cancelled out Étienne Capoue’s opener.
The Hornets had taken the lead just before the hour-mark through a rocketing drive from the Frenchman, following a scrappy start to the contest from both sides. Chelsea found their confidence and an equaliser after their new signing immediately made an impact following his introduction, with the young Belgian knocking in a loose ball from close-range.
As the fitness of the visiting side shone through in the closing stages, a jaw-dropping long ball from fellow substitute Cesc Fabregas found Costa on the run, who calmly finished under Heurelho Gomes in the 86th minute to end Antonio Conte’s first away Premier League trip with victory.
