One is tearing up the A-League, the other is setting the English Premier League alight.
Harry Novillo and Riyad Mahrez, former teammates at Le Havre in the French second tier and whose careers have taken a very different path.
Both played together for the French club in the 2011/12 season, with Novillo on-loan from Lyon and Mahrez in and out of the first team.
Novillo played just 16 times for Le Havre during his season-long spell at the club, while Mahrez made a combined 120 appearances for the club’s first and second team, scoring 30 goals.
The predicament could not be any different between the two now, with Novillo playing forMelbourne City after failing to live up to huge expectations of him as a junior, while Mahrez has just about been the best player in the English Premier League this season for Leicester City, after moving to the club in 2014.

Leicester City paid just £350,000 for Mahrez who has been vital in the Foxes surge up the Premier League table this season, with the club’s fans daring to dream of a top-four finish and maybe, just maybe, a Premier League title.
Meanwhile, Novillo has been outstanding for Melbourne City since returning from injury this season, scoring six times and providing four assists. At just 23-years-old [Mahrez is only a year older], a potential return back to Europe is definitely still on the cards for the talented Frenchman should he maintain his excellent form.
