There’s a lot to like about the Lukaku and Deulofeu partnership

For the second week in a row Romelu Lukaku has scored and for the second week in a row it came from a beautiful Gerard Deulofeu through ball.

A well weighted ball split the heart of West Ham’s defence and found Lukaku, who was able to go around Adrian and finish in similar fashion to his goal last week against Sunderland.

The little Spaniard has always shown the traits of a world-class midfielder, but his partnership with Lukaku seems to be bringing out the best in him.

His ability to beat the first defender and get to the byline has always been a strength of his game and his crossing of the ball rivals that of the league’s best at the moment. The potential of those crosses finding a certain six-foot-three Belgian in the box has Everton fans salivating heading into the international break.
