John Stones’ value still has not peaked

If ever one needed to see more evidence of John Stones’ quality, this match and last were it. And it seems that even after a summer of transfer speculation and astronomic valuations, the 21-year-old’s stock is only going to rise.

Stones is, at present, oozing confidence, poise and is performing like a seasoned defensive mainstay; it is not difficult to see why Chelsea were so desperate for his signature over the offseason.

A picture of professionalism alongside captain Phil Jagielka, Stones played an enormous role in keeping the always dangerous Swansea attacking quartet under raps.

The England international won 100% of aerial battles and tackles, made four interceptions and three clearances while distributing from the back excellently at a completion rate of 92%.
