Leicester’s attack too predictable

For much of the game the attack was focused mostly on trying to find Vardy with long balls. This tactic was never going to have much impact due to the defensive combination of Hangeland and Scott Dann, who are much stronger and had the height advantage over the Englishman. If Leicester were playing to their strength properly, they should have been trying to utilise the speed that Vardy and other attacking players such as Jeff Schlupp and Mahrez have to get in behind the slower Palace defence.

Realistically the Foxes did have the better of the game for much of the 90 minutes, but due to the decision making and not adjusting to the fact that the play was not working there was no breakthrough. They could have won by more than just the single goal that came of the back of a Palace defensive mistake, by playing the ball along the ground rather than in the air as they did for much of the game.
