Pellè back to his best in 2015

After an impressive start to life on the South Coast in 2014, Pellè looked one of the form strikers in the league, banging in goals for fun and looking comfortable as the focal point in the Southampton attack. After the New Year, he hit a major lull and did not get his name back on the scoresheet in the Premier League until April. Grabbing another clutch before the season ended, the Italian finished with a very respectable 12 goals from his first season in England.

Eight games into 2015-16 and the striker has already got five goals to his name and looked threatening throughout the season. Tall and strong, he is the perfect target for the Saints wingers and full-backs to cross to but in recent weeks has also demonstrated his ability to play through the middle. With decent touch on the ball, the 30-year-old has created many chances for himself as well as for his teammates, epitomised by his two assists in this game.
