Premier League newcomers Middlesbrough have announced the signing of Marten de Roon from Atalanta overnight. The 25-year-old midfielder only spent one season in the Serie A after joining from SC Heerenveen, featuring in all but two matches for the Italian club.

The Sky Blues are rumoured to be splashing the cash again this window, with the Manchester Evening News reporting they are on the brink of adding German youngster Leroy Sane to Pep Guardiola’s new setup. The report claims a £40 million offer is in the works to bring the winger to the Etihad this summer.

In further news for Manchester City, the club has announced the signing of youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko from FC Ufa. The 19-year-old holds the record for being the youngest scorer for the Ukrainian senior team, having found the net in a 4-3 friendly win against Romania in May, aged 19-years and 165 days.

Chelsea are on the lookout for yet another striker, with reports from the Daily Mail suggesting the Londoners will attempt to sign Graziano Pelle from Southampton if they fail in their bid for Alvaro Morata. The Italian has shown that he has a knack for scoring goals, both in the English top-flight and at the national level in Euro 2016.

Premier League champions Leicester City are once again being linked with another new signing and this time they appear to have secured their man according to Sky Sports, who are suggesting the Foxes have agreed a club record fee to bring striker Ahmed Musa to England from Russian side CSKA Moscow.

In an exclusive interview with TalkSPORT, Stoke’s second in charge Mark Bowen has revealed interest in bringing former Manchester United winger Nani back to the Premier League. The Potters will face competition from Valencia for his services though, who are rumoured to have offered £7 million to Fenerbahce.

West Bromwich Albion are believed to be closing in on the signing of QPR winger Matt Phillips says the Birmingham Mail. Speculation was fuelled when the forward was left out of the Rangers’ pre-season tour squad, after scoring eight goals in 44 appearances during 2015-16.

Everton are planning and audacious swoop for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel if rumours from the Liverpool Echo are the be believed, as Ronald Koeman looks to strengthen his squad. The Foxes No.1 was a key player as Claudio Ranieri’s side claimed a maiden Premier League title last season.

Robin van Persie may be making his way back to England this transfer window, according to the Daily Mail. The  former Arsenal and Manchester United star is said to have been offered to the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace by Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Swansea City are reportedly close to the permanent signing of Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer says Sky Sports. The 26-year-old, who spent the second-half of last season with the side from South Wales, made 11 appearances on his loan from QPR. The Swans are also expected to announce a deal for defender Mike van der Hoorn from Ajax in the coming days.
