EPL Transfer Talk – 25 July – Big names set for Chelsea exits?

With rumours swirling that Diego Costa will re-join Atletico Madrid this summer, Antonio Conte preparing for his exit by launching a third bid for Alvaro Morata. According to the Mirror, the La Liga giants feel their potential move relies heavily on Chelsea’s decision in their pursuit of the Spanish international.

The fiery striker may not be the only player heading for the Stamford Bridge exit this summer though, suggests the Daily Mail. Juventus remain highly interested in midfielder Nemanja Matic as a replacement for Paul Pogba, who with each passing day appears more likely to be returning to Old Trafford.

Long-term Manchester United target Raphael Varane has committed his future to Real Madrid after talks of a potential reunion with Jose Mourinho this season. The French international is quoted by Marca as saying “I want to stay here this year, I feel loved by the fans who want the best for me, and the best is yet to come.”

David Moyes is set to come knocking at the Old Trafford door this summer for a possible reunion with Adnan Januzaj. The Daily Mail claims that the former Manchester United manager is interested in bringing the 21-year-old to his new club Sunderland on loan for the upcoming season.

Tottenham’s Nabil Bentaleb could be shipped-out this summer to Benfica, reports Portuguese publication Record. The midfielder struggled for form and fitnessduring 2015-16, only making nine appearances for the North London club.

Defender Kieran Trippier could be another player set to leave White Hart Lane, just a season after joining the club. The Daily Star rumours that Southampton are preparing a £5 million bid for the fullback, after the 25-year-old snubbed a move to the club last summer.

Liverpool are on the lookout for another left-back with wide speculation that Brad Smith will join fellow Premier League outfit Bournemouth in the coming days. Spanish publication Deportivo Valenciano are linking the Reds with a move for 18-year-old left back Toni Lato of Valencia, who has impressed for the club’s B team and has attracted interest from across Europe.

The rumour mill has Jurgen Klopp’s team linked to PSV Eindhoven’s Jetro Willems to fill the gap. According to Dutch outlet Soccer News, the club is preparing to sign the Netherlands international in a deal worth around £11 million.

After leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season as a free agent, Charles N’Zogbia could still find himself in the Premier League says the Northern Echo. The midfielder has been included in Sunderland’s squad for their preseason trip to France, a move which have boosted his hopes of earning a contract.
