With both having seen nearly the exact same number of minutes over the tournament, Bale has captured some spotlights after scoring goals against Slovakia, England and Russia, while Hazard got his name on the scoresheet in a 4-0 thumping of Hungary.

The majority of the other key areas analysed fall in favour of the Belgian though, who has provided three assists for his teammates – against Sweden, the Republic of Ireland and the Hungarians – compared to zero for the Real Madrid playmaker.

The 25-year-old also leads the statistics in terms of successful passes with nearly double the number of Bale and has also generated five times as many chances for the Red Devils to score, however, the Welshman has taken 10 more shots individually.

Who will be the one to guide their country into Euro 2016’s final four?
