We’re back for another edition of Goal of the Week, and at long last star midfielder TheEmden2 earns his place on the GOTW Hall of Fame with a cracking goal in Pro Clubs Rivals.
With his team on a set piece, Emden is given the right of free-kick taker. Hugging the touchline and at least 30 yards out, this is a fantastic opportunity to whip the ball into the box.
Then again, this is Emden we are talking about here, possibly the greatest dead-ball specialist on PS4.
He lines it up, eyes set on nothing but the goal. Flashbacks of Cristiano Ronaldo against Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final of 09 come to mind. “Too far for Ronaldo to think about it”…
A few steps in, and GOAL! What a strike that is! The keeper is beaten for sheer pace, as the ball is smashed into the high near post from an impossible angle. The meaning of “low percentage” is not in this man’s vocabulary.
Well done to TheEmden2, who rightfully earns this week’s GOTW in trademark fashion.
